Almaty sightseeing tour with national dishes tasting

An extended version of a city tour with lunch at the national restaurant.  Lots of impressions and exciting stories.

This tour covers most of city’s ‘must visit’ places, as well as the lots of stories from the life of Almaty and the Republic of Kazakhstan. The main difference from a walking or short sightseeing tour is that the route includes the very authentic St. Nichola’s Cathedral, the Museum of Art, interesting for its exhibits (you can also find interesting things made of felt and national decorations there), Republic Square and some other popular sights.

This route includes a lot of walks and driving cause the sights located in different parts of the city. When the major part of sightseeing will be done, you stop for the lunch in one of the best traditional restaurant  where you will taste various Kazakh national dishes.

After lunch, the route will continue mainly by car, taking a leisurely walks to explore small museums and climbing the cable car to Kok-Tobe mountain, which offers stunning views of Almaty, the Great Steppe, and the Tien-Shan Mountains.

The tour starts from your hotel in Almaty. After the tour, the guide will accompany you to your hotel, or any other point in the city.

IMPORTANT: Moving between locations is carried out by taxi (Yandex). The cost of taxi services is included in the tour price.
