Three days in nature: waterfalls, mountain lakes and Charyn canyon

Day 1: On the first day we will go to two beautiful places near Almaty – Issyk and Turgen gorges. The first is worth a visit to see the incredibly beautiful mountain lake and ride along its coastline in a motorboat. And even if this trip does not last very long, there will be enough impressions from it for the whole day! The second gorge is famous for its waterfalls, which we will visit after going on a day trip deep into the mountains. It will be a very active day! After hiking, we will stay overnight in a guest house in the Turgen Gorge.

Day 2: After breakfast at the guest house, we will continue our journey and first visit the Charyn Canyon (the largest canyon in Central Asia!), and then – the mountain lake Kolsai. Reaching the first lake, we will have lunch at a local cafe and then go on a walk to the second lake. We will stay in this beautiful place until the evening, and then we will return to the village of Saty, where we will have a delicious dinner and rest in the guest house.

Day 3: After breakfast in the guest house, we will go to Lake Kaindy. This is a unique place, similar to no other country in Central Asia – the lake was formed in the gorge, flooding the trees and creating a kind of underwater forest. It looks amazing! In the first part of the path to the lake we will pass on the Soviet UAZ SUV (bukhanka), the second part we have to walk. But it’s worth it! Having a picnic by the lake and having a rest in this beautiful place, we will return to the village of Saty, where we will have lunch at the guest house and go on the return trip to Almaty. We will arrive in the city late in the evening.

The tour starts from your hotel in Almaty. After the tour, the guide will accompany you to your hotel, or any other point in the city.For this tour, we recommend you to wear comfortable trekking shoes, bring a windbreaker and hats.
